    The CCS Companies, a Collection and Business Process Outsourcing leader, is looking for a dynamic Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. Working under the Director of Finance and Senior Financial Analyst, general responsibilities include preparation of various monthly journal entries, schedules and reports for the monthly closing process of multiple CCS entities.  In addition, act as backup to Payroll, including all aspects of biweekly payroll processing.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

     

    • Responsible for preparing monthly General Ledger journal entries including revenue, payroll, depreciation, accruals, prepaid expenses, reclassifications and other standard entries.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
    • Update schedules to analyze specific expense accounts.
    • Reconcile various general ledger accounts with sub-systems, A/P & A/R.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and general ledger, comparing budget to actual activity and observing trends.
    • Perform other duties as assigned (i.e. budgets, audits, year-end close, etc).
    • Act as back up to Payroll, processing biweekly payroll, inputting employee maintenance, supporting various requests from Human Resources and external agencies, plus other payroll activity as needed.
    • Input employee changes into ADP Payroll system, Workforce Now.
    • Complete employment verification forms and other related payroll documents.

     

    Experience and Education Requirements

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years prior work experience in accounting or finance
    • Knowledge of automated systems and procedures (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and ADP Workforce Now a plus).
    • Confidentiality a must.
    • Proficient in Excel, modeling experience a plus.
    • Committed to accuracy and details.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Possess good judgment.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Coachability: Being receptive to feedback, willing to learn, embracing continuous improvement, open and responsive to change.
